Mechanical Expertise Across NYC's Most Demanding Industries

Jaccel & Heat Mechanical works as a mechanical subcontractor for general contractors, prime mechanical contractors, and facility owners across a range of commercial and industrial sectors. We bring Local 638 union labor and NYS MBE-certified credentials to every project, in facilities that demand precision, compliance, and a contractor who knows the environment they’re working in. Below are the industries we serve across New York City, Nassau County, and Suffolk County.

Healthcare and Hospitals

Mechanical work in healthcare facilities follows a different set of rules than standard commercial construction. Infection control, pressure relationships, air change rates, and strict temperature and humidity tolerances are enforced by regulators including the New York State Department of Health and The Joint Commission. Jeron has hands-on hospital experience, including work at Northwell Health, and understands these facilities' operational and compliance demands.

Transportation and Transit

Transportation facilities are among the most demanding mechanical job sites in New York. Airports, transit terminals, and Port Authority facilities operate around the clock, with strict compliance requirements set by the Authority Having Jurisdiction. Jeron has completed mechanical work at JFK International Airport, including Terminal 1, giving Jaccel & Heat direct experience with the operational and compliance framework transportation facilities require.

Government and Public Facilities

Government and public sector projects come with procurement requirements, compliance standards, and documentation expectations that differ from private work. Union labor is frequently required, MBE and SBE participation goals are common, and prevailing wage requirements apply to most public work in New York. We're positioned for Port Authority projects, NYC agency contracts, and state and municipal work requiring union affiliation and minority business certification.

Commercial Office and Mixed-Use

Commercial office buildings and mixed-use developments put serious demands on mechanical systems. High-rise buildings with multiple tenants and variable occupancy loads need hydronic systems built for complexity, and tenant fit-outs require work scheduled around the timeline without disrupting tenants. We work as a mechanical subcontractor on these projects, with experience in hydronic piping, boiler and chilled water systems, and mechanical room installations across the New York metro area.

Education

Educational facilities, from K-12 schools to university campuses, run on academic calendars that create narrow windows for major mechanical work. Summer shutdowns are typically the only opportunity for renovations in occupied buildings, meaning work must be scoped and executed before students return. We handle mechanical installations and retrofits in educational facilities, with the coordination and scheduling experience school and university projects require.

Industrial

Industrial facilities have mechanical requirements that go beyond standard commercial work: process piping, chemical systems, fuel oil infrastructure, high-purity piping, and specialized equipment installations common in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and food processing environments. We install process and industrial piping systems for industrial clients across the New York metro area, with the crews and experience to handle scopes beyond standard HVAC.
